Subject: Teach me how to do a parent-teacher conference (I'm a parent)
I let the teacher talk and just listen. I don't usually have any questions. Mine haven't had any issues and I prefer to not even have a meeting or get it over as soon as possible. I have more important things to do and I'm sure the teacher has problematic/struggling students they'd like more time to address with those parents.

I teach HS, so a little different. I agree with PPs that the most important thing is to just listen to the information. You can always follow up with the teacher later. If you have a concern, email the teacher in advance to let them know you want to talk about X. Just please please don’t go on and on about your kid.

We have spring conferences for this purpose. We're in DCPS.
