What some people fail to understand is that car safety isn’t just about surviving or not. You can survive but then have some pretty terrible injuries. Oh and when you are unbuckled you become a projectile who can kill or hurt other people. So it’s not just about you.

I know a family who lost the one person who wasn't belted in an accident. I am surprised by the "oh it's just a short ride to school, it's not worth" mindset. I'm sorry about sounding sanctimonious, it's not sanctimony, it's anxiety.
