There’s also Goodnight (insert city here) books for different cities.
Have no idea why but that book always makes me tear up when I read it. I once picked it up in a grocery store and had to put it down in the middle of an aisle to avoid bawling like a baby. Simple but powerful writing and words.
Baby lit board books. They’re children’s style board books. Themes like counting, colors, weather, vocabulary. The characters are classic literature, like Anne of green gables, pride and prejudice, Dracula, etc. I absolutely love them.

Someone gave me a bunch of Leslie Patricelli books when I had my first and they were a huge hit.

Taro Gomi books were really beloved by my kids—Mommy Mommy, Bus Stops, My Friends. And of course Everyone Poops but that’s good at the potty training stage

Forever and ever and always is a key phrase from it and it’s a way I tell my child I love her when we are struggling
Love the Boynton bath books for baby showers. They are vinyl and go in the tub.

Since it is their second kid and they probably already have some books already, and other people will be bringing books for the baby, you could give a book for the older sibling. Like a "congratulations on becoming a big sister / brother" book for the older kid.
