I already told you in a previous post. But, to reiterate, Republicans claimed that it was an attempt to stop the vote and caused the evacuation of the Capitol. The event didn't even take place in the Capitol and did not disrupt the vote. Moreover, Bowman didn't want to disrupt the vote, he voted in favor of the bill.

We have now learned that the door in question is normally open, but closed on weekends. Bowman was attempting to go vote and the sign on the door said to push and wait for the alarm. Bowman claims he thought this meant to pull the alarm that was right next to the door. This is completely different than an attempt to disrupt an official proceeding of Congress.


Your last paragraph describes someone who is totally ignorant as to how things work. A former principal should know better.
You are basically saying Bowman is an idiot.


Fact: door was in the Cannon Building and not the Capitol.

Fact: alarm did not interrupt the vote.

Fact: door is normally open and used by Members of Congress.

Fact: door had a sign that said to push and wait for the alarm.

Fact: alarm was right next to the door.

None of this is disputable. So, knowing all of this, why do you think Bowman pulled the alarm?

What “falsified version?”
Did he pull the alarm? Yes.
Did he give a lame excuse? Yes.
He was a school principal. Of all people, he should be aware of the purpose and function of a fire alarm. And he should be able to read the signs at the door.


The falsified version was that it was an attempt to delay the vote and caused the evacuation of the Capitol. It is falsified to compare it to Trump's insurrection because whatever else was wrong with Bowman's actions, he didn't attempt to disrupt the official proceedings of Congress.
