Would freak me out if someone followed me. Trust your instincts always!

The stranger asks for your cell number, and when you give a fake number, they immediately call it.

No because you had a long conversation.

If the tables were turned in this situation and a guy was followed home, then asked by a girl for his phone no.#, trust me the guy would be super-flattered.

But from a woman’s perspective this behavior is creepy & definitely crosses boundaries.

Though if an isolated issue, it wouldn’t probably be considered stalking but it would be pretty well close! 😬

Yeah I'm still stuck on this. Somehow you had an interaction without setting a boundary. Not sure how nuts/dangerous this person is, though.

He'd have been better off asking to exchange numbers during that long ass convo- or running after you and saying "I'm sorry- I should have asked previously- would you like to go for for coffee some time- can I give you MY number". Shouldn't have followed/shouldn't have snuck up on you/should have been aware that would be creepy/calling the number immediately tells me that yes, this person has likely stalked before.

Where are you getting that they had a 30 minute conversation? I missed that. Do you have a link?

Not every opinion comes with a f-king link.

I never would have had a 20 minute conversation with a stranger. I am not even sure I'd have a 20 second conversation with a stranger who approached me on the street. If they asked for my phone number I would just say "No, I don't give that out." And I never would have walked to my home - I'd have gone to a public store, walked immediately to the cash register (where there's a decent chance there's a camera) and told whoever is there that someone had been following me.

Does whoever did this have ZERO street smarts?!

I find the one thing that works is to pretend to have a very overbearing boyfriend: “I’m so sorry, my boyfriend would just be really upset if I gave my number out.”
