This happens to our neighbors who have the plastic mailboxes more often than anyone else.
This is true. My friend's daughter became a mail carrier, then postmaster in a rural town, then a supervisor of carriers in a small city. The Amazon last mile deliveries and time demands are horrific and they can't keep carriers longer than a few months. She went 56 days without a day off last year.
Another friend's daughter tried carrier job, left after 2 weeks.

Anonymous wrote:My husband leaves it open after be gets the mail out. Every. Single. Day. I stopped closing it and today I removed 28 June bugs! 28! That's nasty. Not to mention the mail carrier leaves the lid open now, I feel like he's saying, "if you don't care, I don't either" and I don't blame him one bit.

The US postal service is a model of efficiency.
In a few years our nationalized doctors will be as sloppy about sewing you up after an operation as this mailman is about closing the mailbox.

SNITCH!
Seriously!?
