We weren’t specifically looking for a house with an elevator, but now that we have one I wouldn’t trade it. We are mid-50s but an elevator may help us stay in our house as long as we want. We also have a primary Bedroom with full bath on the main floor.
The elevator was installed by Premier Lifts in Hunt Valley Maryland. I also have them come to service it once a year. We have never had problems. What is one reader said you are required by law to have a phone with a landline in it. That may seem Inconvenient for some but we find it worth it.

+1 I’ve always heard horror stories. Would never buy a house with one.
