I’m old and use outlook with my .org address. It’s a chore to set up in the beginning of the year but I refuse to use synergy email.

How do you log your parent communication in Synergy as required by MCPS? How do you know when parents have changed email addresses? Synergy is set up for communication with families for a reason

I don’t “log parent communication in synergy as required by mcps”.
If a parent changes an email, it is their responsibility to let me know so i can update my list.
I have too many things to do to worry about checking the 3 different email addresses mcps expects us to maintain.
I clearly state to parents at the beginning of the year which email address I will be using and then I email them from that account on a weekly basis.
it’s not that deep.

Uh..Synergy emails go directly to Outlook sooooo....

I’m an old teacher (in both experience and years) and agree. No special skills are required to use Synergy mail. When I log on to take attendance, I can see the mail icon on the upper right. I click that icon and it takes me to my inbox. If I want to reply, I click reply.

Honestly, I prefer students and parents use Gmail, but I’m not going to ignore a message sent via Synergy.
