From the boys side I don’t see that as a problem. Those kids deserve the spots and didn’t underperform either.

At 2010 and up I think it would be nearly impossible for a non-ECNL or GA girl to compete. The rigor and intensity of both practices and games will have made the top girls that much better over the years. My U15 DD is struggling with this now, where she wants to start competing at a higher level but I can see the huge gaps caused by less intensity over the last few years. Not sure there is a way to catch up. So I am not surprised that only the national level teams would nominate players.

Yep as everything in the process only those clubs that have special treat because their link to someone inside the system. There are plenty of players that aren’t seen. The selection goes from up to down, system, league, club, coach, fav group of close friends to the ball-hog player selected by the coach to the camp, etc.

From social media -- NVA, VA Union, and TSJ FC Virginia had players at the US ID session last week.

TJS FC had 7 players -- 4 from the 2010s and 3 from the 2009s
NVA had at least 4 players
VA Union had 6 players - 5 from the 2010s and 1 from the 2009s
