I used to be against killing them… but that was about $3k+ ago spent over the years on trapping and repairs, now I just toss bait chunks up into the attic in the winter and early spring, and leave the lights on. I also spray squirrel/rodent be gone.

One or the other or both seem to be keeping them at bay.

If they’ve died in my attic or walls I haven’t noticed and I can handle a slightly putrid smell for a week or so, we are talking about a 1lb squirrel carcass not a 100lb husky. Open a window. The odor dissipates quickly.

City folk are so strange about these things. They are rodents and they carry disease and filth into your home and they can cause serious damage to your home. Don’t spend a fortune to get rid of them just get rid of them.

Get a second quote. We had a problem with squirrels and birds on our front porch. First company gave us a quote of 7,000 to patch holes, close gaps, etc. Second company gave us a quote of 2,500. We went with the second company

NP. Disgusting question, but does the price include cleaning up squirrel droppings?

Get a second opinion. I had a similar issue fixed for around $1200 with a one year warranty.

Call Adcock Trapping. They did a great job on a squirrel problem for us for $500.

So who exactly is going to know if you accidentally stepped on a squirrel's tail while he's wreaking havoc in your home? The amount of paranoia and ridiculousness on here is entertaining. Along with anyone who thinks paying more than $200 to get rid of a rodent is reasonable.
