Not the standard American pronunciation, but also not uncommon at all. I know several.

I really don't like it for a baby. Or an adult.

It reminds me of a woman from the early '80s, with a really long dark hair, wearing hoop earrings and a vest, who is pregnant and is one of Dr Huxtable's patients. This is not a real thing just something I've created in my mind.

My Mom’s name is Marcia so I have very positive associations with the name. I’ve always thought it was very pretty but your dd will have to correct people on how to pronounce and spell it.
