Oh please, Fetterman is the biggest offender in Congress and is the one pushing for rules to allow him to look like a bum:

Democrats are literally turning Congress into Idiocracy.
Imagine caring at all what people wear in Congress as if it affects their ability to do their jobs in any way whatsoever.
Oh please. Why have any standards at all. Doctors should just roll into meeting their patients with basketball jersies and sandals. Let's just keep degrading our standards and let people do whatever they want rather than demand more of our representatives of our country and holding them to higher standards with their appearance. How about military personnel wear whatever they want next. Wearing a uniform vs basketball shorts shouldn't matter for pulling a gun trigger too.
You are a slovenly, lazy bum.
Please explain to me how wearing a basketball jersey and sandals will affect a doctor's ability to do their job.
The military has specific clothing because it provides a measurable benefit (you know, the whole "camouflage" thing...) but there is absolutely no performance benefit given to a Senator by wearing a suit.

Anything to avoid discussing the topic at hand..... the fact that Senators no longer have a dress code, but their staffers and every one else does.
How does Schumer defend this?
Who F cares? Are they aiding and abetting an insurrection? Let them dress how they want to. Fetterman has shown more respect for the constitution and the institution of the Senate than any of the Senators who didn't vote to convict Trump for 1/6. But please carry on with the faux pearl clutching. Maybe we can make Obama's mustard colored suit a thing again.
Why just Senators?
Why not staff as well?
Answer: Because this is solely for Fetterman. A rule change for one Senator because he refuses to follow the dress code.
Change it for staffers too.

Honey did you think the idiots in Idiocracy were stupid because of their clothes? Like you watched that movie and felt that the clothes and not the stupid was the cause of the Idiocracy? Because you’ve missed the point pretty hard.
No, but idiots do overwhelmingly dress like Fetterman. Go to your local trailer park.
Dressing appropriately shoes you have a mindset that demonstrates some basic level of discipline.
Y'all got mad about tan suits and sleevelss dresses. Sorry not falling for it again.
Right? This only bothers them because HERRRRR DURRRRR LIBRULZ. Meanwhile, Jim Jordan (I know - HOUSE) dresses like the finance manager at a used car lot.
