Did you get a fancy drink or dessert?
That was just for coffee with red chili pepper flavoring. 12 ounces.
I'm sorry lets back up. You got coffee with red chili pepper flavor? What in the heck does that even taste like? Spicy hot drink? Do you have a functioning esophagus?
I was stuck on that too!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Plain coffee for $6? I doubt it.

Anonymous wrote:I was back home in the Midwest for a wedding and both mornings this independent coffee shop & roaster in my middle class hometown had dozens of people in line getting all the expensive $5-8 sugary lattes and fraps. What made me laugh is that none of the “Midwest nice” people in line seemed to care the barista girls were totally slammed and that all of their complex orders were to blame. We got two drip coffees to give them some reprieve. That didn’t really help us because the girls didn’t actually hand us our coffees until they finished all the complex drinks in front of us first.

Also, maybe they are paying a fair wage and that's why it was $6.
No. Little independent coffee shop.
How do you know? I live in the south (albeit in a blue part), and many of the "little independent coffee shops" near me are certified living wage. But it's not like they have a banner out front. Usually it's a small sign or on the menu.
Me again. How south were you, and do you look/act like a northerner? I met my now DH in grad school in the south, and he is from NYC. There were several times early in dating where I had to explain to him that he was being rude to waitstaff or whoever. In his world, he was just being assertive and direct. Luckily, he learns quickly. Anyway, were you acting northern? Maybe it was $6 just for you, and cheaper for locals. Sorry.
You'll never complain about theater prices, with the vivid movies that play inside your head!
