Who ever said they have the brightest kids? The richest kids, maybe. Unsurprising the magnets outperformed the other schools.
Many of those magnet kids will attend UMD because their parents can’t afford private schools, but they will do very well.
raise hand.. that's my kid. Killing it in their advanced math class already, as a freshman.
I should restate: "as a first year", not freshman. DC had so many credits going in they are already technically near to being a junior.
What does that mean??? How many credits is “technically near to a junior”?
You need 60 credits to be a junior.
Well that’s not correct beaker you only need 21 to graduate high school. PP’s claims are BS.
They're talking about college, not high school
No she wasn’t. She said her high school freshman in a magnet had enough credits to be a junior.

“Killing it”??! How do you even know? My own magnet freshman has got 100 % so far in everything but I’d never characterize it that way. The year has barely started.
because they don't find any of it hard, so far. Sure, things could change, but given that so many of their classmates are already having issues, I'd say DC is "killing it", so far.
Hm. Doesn’t sound like any of my kid’s classmates are having issues at all. Maybe you’re in a different program that’s easier to get in to.
nope
