DC is inundated with disorderly protesters. Are our local jails full of these protesters or do certain causes get a pass because it would be unpopular to charge them? I understand it also hinges on the difficulty. A large disorderly crowd gets a pass because it would be hard to arrest everyone, but as long as it is a single man, it's ok?

Whether the school district or board was right or wrong, this pardon is unobjectionable. (Fwiw, I am on the side of protecting the privacy of all minors, including the victim and the perpetrator. But an outraged father is not a criminal.)

You're focusing on the wrong things. The school board abused its powers to try & intimidate a parent into staying quiet about his daughter's rape. He should resist. Call it a protest if you like. He shouldn't have been arrested or charged. He should have gotten the same treatment as the BLMers who lit stores on fire and looted shelves of luxury goods - cops looking the other way.
The rape was bad.
LCPS handled it poorly.
He politicized his own daughter’s rape.
He was disorderly at the SB meeting.
All of these things can be true.
It could also be true that he rolled through a stop sign and then jaywalked while crossing the street when picking up his daughter from being raped. Better prosecute to the full extent of the law.

I doubt he was trying to politicize his daughter's rape. He's not a Washingtonian mover/shaker. That's NOT how he would think. He was outraged by his daughter's rape. He was outraged that a boy wearing a skirt was able to enter the girl's bathroom. It's that simple. The people who are trying to drive this rhetoric that he tried to politicize his daughter's rape are gaslighting like crazy.

The school issued a statement about a safety concern at the school (regarding the father coming in and yelling about his daughter being RAPED) while the rapist was at large, which was not reported to the community as a safety concern. In fact an administrator lied about it at a school board meeting and said there are no known assaults. Another admin sent an email that they were concerned this implicated the gender bathroom policy. Another admin sent an email stating the rapist and victim were boyfriend and girlfriend so maybe it wasn't really rape. The rapist was quietly transferred to another school where he raped another girl. Sounds to me like this needed to be "politicized."
+1 million. LCSB and the Stone Bridge principal are as crooked as they come. Any dad would go just as hard for his daughter, who was a VICTIM OF A SERIOUS CRIME, in school, where she was supposed to be protected and safe.

OK. It was a lawful arrest. He was disorderly.
So we can't arrest shoplifters, but disorderly conduct requires an arrest? They arrested this guy with high hopes of charging him with domestic terrorism. When that didn't work (for obvious reasons),) they fell back on the _only_ charge they could make work, disorderly conduct. I guess we will start blaming disorderly conduct now for the increase in crime.

I don’t think any of the adults involved in this case handled themselves appropriately. The father was used as a pawn to further the motives of both sides, and I don’t think he should face charges at this point.
