With Jessica you might have been Jess B. or Jessie to distinguish you from the other Jessica in class. With Jennifer, you were going by a made up nickname to distinguish you from Jennifer, Jennifer B., Jenny, Jennifer Lloyd, Jen H., Jen C., Jen R., Jennifer Sarah, and Jenny Anne.
