I'm the OP. Seriously? "Blatantly broke the law"? My contractor moves our single trash can in order to have more space to work in our small front yard in Georgetown. Trash was picked up Friday morning and I moved the trashcan back onto our property mid day Friday. Our contractor moved the trashcan in order to have more space to work and they forgot to put the trashcan back on our property Friday night. The "inspector" gave us a citation at 7:15 Saturday morning. This is a blatant violation in your eyes?

Pay your tickets and mind your trash.
Umm, three cars windows were broken out, and the police choose to ticket cars that are legal parked while not investigating the cars that were broken into? OK. DC is being DC.

Then make your contractor pay the fine. In my contracts, contractors are responsible for fines that occur as a result of their work
