How would I possibly know until I take it. Why am I taking it? Have I had any side-effects? What else am I taking? Listen, those are questions for my doctor, not my pharmacist.

Just click yes on the screen and enter your phone number." A few weeks later, I found out that registered me for a $5 a month fee. And plenty of tracking, I'm sure. No mention of that anywhere when i signed up!
to a small extent, I respect his hustle. I know from working in retail that he was probably paid a significant bonus for every person who signed. He signed the two people in front of me, and I'm sure many others. Dishonest, but he got his bag and probably feels no shame.
Extra Care card is the free card for coupons and stuff. Carepass is the one you're talking about that costs $5 a month.
This is funny because it happened to my mom. She was bragging to me that she pressed this button and got a free $10! I knew about Carepass so I explained to her it's $5 a month and she felt duped.
However, they give you a $10 coupon every month, free and clear. Not $10 off a $50 purchase or anything. $10 extra bucks. So by paying the $5 you get $10 and make a $5 profit every month and you can stock it with other coupons, sales, and free shipping. She ended up keeping it. It's not a bad deal if you ensure you use that $10 religiously every month and buy stuff you needed anyway. She got her $11 vitamins BOGO and used the $10 on that (so paid $1 + $5 monthly charge = $6 for two bottles). Obviously CVS is hoping people forget and just get charged the $5 which is unethical.

And I get my receipts emailed to me so no more long printouts. I picked up a prescription in NWDC a couple of weeks ago and didn't have to anything with the app when I arrived. I'd say maybe the only slightly annoying thing are the sale emails are one or two a day...but I just delete and move on.
The data collection goes on in the background of your phone. You don't know what you are talking about. Every single app is collecting data not related to their app from your phone. Did you not hear about Facebook retrieving people's contacts on their phone and then using that data?
People need to read about this and understand. People are so complacent and this is why we have no privacy.

But I agree that CVS is terrible. The pharmacists and pharmacy techs are really unhelpful and some are just flat out unintelligent. I was there recently and overheard one of the techs having a loud conversation on a speaker phone about another customer's prescription--said the customer's name, date of birth, the medication they were getting. There were about 4 of us standing in line at the time. Unbelievable.
My CVS requires me to say this when I go up to the counter.
Yep. There’s no privacy. I tried drive through just so I could have privacy and not have to say my DOB in front of strangers. I don’t know if other pharmacies that are better. Target has even less privacy.
Anonymous wrote:Just went to CVS in NW DC to pick up my prescription. They will not allow you to pick up your prescription till you download their app, fill out all the required info and prepaid. There were about 7-8 people pecking at their phones, 4 people waiting in line because they could not login and more people showing up who had to be told to download the app.
The hack- say you are picking up for someone else. I hear the CVS app is very invasive- tracking your movements through the store and other things.
I am done with CVS and their mile long receipt.

Most times they haven’t. I really don’t shop in the store for anything else so I guess I don’t care if I’m being monitored. But I hate their pharmacy in general.
