Parents are in charge of the child’s education.
Lowest possible taxes.
Strong state university system.
Constitutional carry.
Strong state university system but no to the others.
1) No restrictions on abortion whatsoever. That is between a woman/family and the doctor. Fortunately most Americans do not hold that extreme position.
2) Parents are not “in charge” of their children’s education. The schools are in charge. The schools know better and have training in pedagogy and set the curriculum. Parents need to stay in their lanes. They’re not important stakeholders. Parents are key stakeholders unlike teachers unions which did irreparably harm to kids during COVID.
3) we want more gun control, not “constitutional carry.” Ideally, we should confiscate guns from most people. Anyone caught carrying a hidden gun should be imprisoned for a minimum of 30 years. We are sick of guns in this country. Fortunately the founding fathers were wise and the 2nd Amendment will prevent you from achieving your wishes
Taxes will be what they are for things like a strong state university system and other public goods.
External agitator. VA doesn’t have teachers unions. Not with any significant influence.
No, I am from NOVA so familiar with the Virginia Education Association and Fairfax Education Association which are affiliated with the NEA.

Sigh, Eileen’s staffers are at it again.
Right now, in the Commonwealth, it’s at 26 weeks (yes, you read that right) and six days’ gestational limit. That is, you guessed it, a third-term abortion. “No one is getting a late-ren abortion,” right? Why is it 26 was 3d? Why? Hmmmm
Youngkin proposed a 15-week gestational limit which is actually more generous than that of regressive, woman-hating ass-backwards places like France and Germany (/s)
(14 and 12 weeks respectively).
No, I told you to get filthy rich Planned Parenthood to pay for your abortion, not the taxpayer.
I totally agree that if he tried to pull a DeSantis and push the limit to six weeks, he would be pilloried and rightly so.
Personally, I would prefer 20 weeks’ gestational limit. Objectively, Youngkin may hold strong personal beliefs and he’s free to talk about them but he must take a moderate approach to this issue or the Republicans will end.
Not a staffer. A voter here in NoVA who cares about women. And a small business owner.
No. 15w and 20w are not acceptable. Most women don’t get their screening u/s until 20w.
26w6d is acceptable because it gives time for a second opinion and to schedule various appts.
If the Republicans touch women’s rights we are out of here. I will relocate my family and business (and substantial taxes) to MD. Away from the crazies.
Youngkin said he will sign anything those crazy Rs will put forward. That’s so disturbing.
Well, good luck and farewell just in case your nightmare scenario becomes reality.
Hope your kids are okay with a prospective move. Wishing you luck. A
My oldest already wants to move.
She’s disgusted by the Republicans in this area.
Anonymous wrote:Republicans have already tried multiple times since Youngkin took office. The D’s very narrow hold in the Senate is the only thing that blocked them.
We are only two senate seats away from women losing rights in this state.

Name one governor of a state that isn’t a trifecta (there aren’t many left) who wouldn’t be focused on having his/her party retain the governorship and win both chambers of the state legislature…
It’s a stupid article.

The constant fear-mongering from the left is so tiresome.
Well the insanity from the right is worse
Youngkin is a liar every single day
Repukes want a full ban nationwide any female who votes red is an idiot
This is more than the abortion issue for women
What do you idiots think will happen to jobs for women? Family values man gets your job you leave for maternity
It’s far worse than a ban
ah, it’s about that time. Hi “amoral scum” poster!

These are not things that “sane” people want.
16w is WAY too early.
Taxes: you get what you pay for
Nutters should not carry guns or make educational decisions for school districts.
I had an abortion at 20 weeks. My son had already died due to a condition we knew about and were monitoring since our scan at 12 weeks. But it was still an “abortion” because that’s what they call the procedure.
16 weeks is not too early. Not even close. You don’t know what you’re talking about. These are human beings.

The point is there are serious consequences if that happens in VA.
It’s shocking that more people aren’t talking about what’s at stake.
It's shocking that this is the only topic Democrats care about - to the exclusion of all else.
