I’m the same height and female. I find if people are secure in themselves then it is not an issue. For most people I deal with, it is not an issue. Occasionally, there are people, usually short men, who seem uncomfortable with it. Many cultures do socialize people to accept an arbitrary ideal that men should be taller, more successful and richer. That is changing of course.
We have a lot of height variation in my family and I encourage both DC (one tall one short) to seek happiness and peace within themselves. If we compare ourselves to others continually we will always find reasons to be dissatisfied.
