She says she wants contacts, but she obviously not responsible for that. She says doesn't like how they feel on her nose, and she says she wants pink, not purple. Should I get the same ones, or cater to her wanting different ones?


Can you tape or glue the old ones together? I would and she would have to contribute hard earned pennies, nickels, and dimes that she earns doing chores around the house, for new glasses.

Oh, I feel for your daughter! My family was also low income and I had to wear the ugliest glasses because that was all that was available through the “special program” our income made us eligible for.

I still remember how I felt wearing those glasses- I was actually glad when my eyesight got worse and I had to get new ones a couple years later.

Please, get her glasses that she likes and feels comfortable wearing. Let her have happy memories of this time in her life.
