Dishes should be done as to not attract bugs, but if 1 or 2 dishes are still in the sink NBD. A pot might need to soak and be finished in the am.

But….
Not every toy is put away
Not ever blanket it's folded
Not every shoe is in its place
Not ever piece of mail is tidy
Not every piece of paper is perfectly in back packs
Tables and counters are still cluttered.
Clothes that are washed and folded but may not be put away.
Coffee tables have errant objects on them.

Life’s too short. If you enjoy it your way go for it but don’t put that BS on others.

And no I do not wash my undergarments separately.

No one is talking about everything being “perfect.”

Just tidying. Putting away dishes, setting dishwasher, making kids take their belongings to their room, wiping down counters. Picking up scattered shoes or books.

Again, not perfect. But organized and tidy.

No, I just do the dishes. I think now I see why I don't fit in around here!

I do the dishes/wipe down the counters and do a little tidy of the living room (pick up any toys on the ground etc). It doesn’t take much time and I appreciate waking up to a somewhat tidy house.

Only dishes; I don't really care if we have a perfectly clean house.

Yes, only im bad about the kitchen floor. We have dark gray tile so it’s easy to ignore the dirt

Sort of funny but I feel the opposite. I think laundry needs done asap. Otherwise it gets wrinkly. I even hate wrinkly sheets.

So much this! I don't feel organized or motivated if I get up to stuff sitting everywhere in the morning.

Not if that's how you like your home.

I do this in the morning, and it helps me wake up. I like the idea of doing certain tasks at night though.

In the morning, I put clean dishes away and sweep the kitchen. I take out trash, if needed. If we have a party, I’ll take it out at night.

I clean the kitchen as I cook and I clean up in the bathroom almost every day with larger tasks (shower cleaning, etc) once a week.

I used to. Sometime after having my second kid I lost the bandwidth to care about most things. We usually make sure to run the dishwasher each night but that's about it.

Yes. My husband cleans the kitchen and tidied up every evening. I work from home so I tidy up from breakfast and lunch packing and usually give the bathroom a quick wipe before he and the kids come home. He moves the rugs and chairs and runs roomba at night. I put those things back in the morning.

We both invest maybe 15-20 min a day and the house stays pretty clean.

Yes. I hate feeling disorganized in the morning.
