You can’t make someone else do or think something. Give that up right away. Just do your thing, be positive, do good work, stay out of trouble, toot your horn.

It’s more basic than that- for friends, dating, employment, setting boundaries.

Have confidence, skills and abilities and only spend time with those who lift you up and see them.
Keep the good people, discard the not so good people.

Know your worth means that YOU should know you deserve to be treated well. You can't make someone else know it. You have to set standards and adhere to them. No settling for bums and cheaters, and guys who only text WYD at midnight, etc.

It sometimes helps to see this not about yourself but about your daughter/niece/goddaughter.

How would you want them to be treated in a relationship? Would you want them respected and loved? Equally partnered and not carrying the whole load? In an environment where they could thrive and achieve their goals personally and professionally? With someone who shared their vision for a happy life?

Well, that’s what your parents/godparents/aunts/uncles/grandparents wanted for you. That is your worth. Don’t settle for less than that.

This is someone who is a maximizer, not someone who knows themselves. Note, almost all the categories are vague and subjective. This is where women get in trouble they are basically gambling.

Your worth is intrinsic.

It means don’t chase someone treating you poorly. And that means if you want more commitment when dating (past the initial part where you’re just learning about each other), and they don’t communicate well, give you breadcrumbs, say one thing yet do another, then instead of waiting for them raise your bar and move on. You don’t have to explain your worth to someone, it should be apparent and they should value you, make time for you, and treat you well.
