Fly fishing seems less likely since so much of the attraction is being on the river alone, or nearly alone.

Golf or co-ed sports club. I was on one when I was younger and one couple was formed who got married and another couple formed (though I don't know what happened to them). I had friends who did other coed sports and there were always couples forming. You played games and then went out for drinks and food so things naturally progressed between people.

I met my husband at a poker game.

Skiing or snowboarding

Tons and tons of well-to-do men at ski resorts. The gender ratio is very imbalanced at apres ski, you'll have your pick of the men wanting to buy you a drink.

Golf also is also skewed male, but it tends to be lots of married dudes. Singles there too, but I think you find more single guys at the ski resort given the travel commitments.

Try one of those trivia nights at bars/restaurants. Good friend met her boyfriend there.

Not necessarily. He might be doing it to meet people too; also, it might be something I actually enjoy but would not otherwise have motivated to actually do.

Fly fishing. It's a great hobby, and you can join one of the local fly fishing groups.
