OP here- I’ll assume you have a reading comprehension issue. My assumption at the start was that ASA was the better program. I was crowd sourcing the differences of two other programs.

I think most area boys teams struggled by that standard, most considerably more than Alexandria. The out-of-town teams were very good.

The boys did not do well in East Coast premier.


They went 6-1-5 (w-d-l), with a positive GD, across all age groups. What is "do well"?

I really don’t think any team should be judged based on their performances in the East Premier which are just friendlies. It’s a good time for players to get used to each other and for the coach to also experiment and try out players in different positions.

Depending on where you live, I would look at Alexandria, Arlington or SYC. SYC has long had a reputation of not focusing on girls, but that seems to be changing at the younger ages. Arlington is always strong but has a lot of teams so she might have to work her way onto a really competitive team. Alexandria had some issues with the GA situation and some parents are still smarting over that, but it is a solid club that shouldn’t be overlooked.

I wouldn’t go to LMVSC or Gunston if your U13 DD wanted to play HS soccer. She will get more technical training at the other three clubs. I say this as you mentioned the goal of playing at one of the Catholic high schools, they play in the WCAC league and is a tough league. Technical ability will make a difference.

OP, you could also look at Arlington - there are a lot of team levels and by and large its a good organization.
