Just installed a double cafe oven and happy so far. I’m super anal about doing my research on this stuff, and spent like a year researching all the appliances for our kitchen reno. Price was not an issue. House is midcentury and high end, so I was happily looking to get one of the brands like Viking or wolf that have a very retro and high end look. But all the high end brands had a lot of negative reviews online. Like a lot a lot. And I hated the wolf interface. I was looking to avoid internet and a stupid computer screen interface (more prone to breakage), but they were ubiquitous in all but the the high end brands.

So ultimately I was deciding between spending $12k on a high end brand that people had a lot of major complaints about, or spending $3000 on a midrange brand with the potential for failure because of cheap parts and computers. And I decided that they were all really prone to warranty issues so I got the midrange brand with the expectation that it might need to be replaced as early as 5 years, but I could replace it three times and still be spending less than the expensive brand.

So far the Cafe works great, has very reliable and fast temp (our old Bosch did not have either), we love the retro look for our house, and I’m even enjoying the computer interface. We don’t connect to wifi.

you just roast things and make casseroles and call yourself a foodie? for shame.

I would recommend a GE profile wall oven. I have a GE cafe gas range top.
