OP, it might also be helpful to know your housing budget. For example, if you want to be convenient to the pool, what it costs to live convenient to NCAP-AU is radically different than what it costs to live convenient to the facilities NCAP-west uses.

If you live in Arlington County, AAC is significantly less expensive than the other clubs mentioned and the facility is gorgeous.

This is a great list.

I will say that the most well-liked RMSC coaches for that level are at KSAC and Germantown. There are great swimmers at Rockville and Olney. There is a wealth of great, young RMSC boys, especially at KSAC. I think the MLK rising 9th grade boys also are really great, but I wouldn't recommend the coach.

NCAP all the way. There are a lot of good clubs, but not a lot that do well at the elite level.

I’d avoid AU they’ve had serious coaching issues the last three years

No particular site is better among RMSC. juniors better at Rockville. NCAP is franchise, AU seems pretty solid.

Choose by the coach not the team- team sites vary even if it’s under one big umbrella (NCap, RMSC) meet all of them and join a practice at all of them

RMSC is cheap and has good coaching but varies by coach, NCap very much varies by site. West with Jeremy Linn is the best if you ask me (we used to be a different NCap site and left)

If your kid has futures times, I would ask your coach for help, and start emailing places where you might live. Any team (maybe not the ones run by county) will be salivating to take your kid, I promise

Where are the kids going to school? We wanted to make a club change that just wasn’t feasible with 3:15 dismissal and 330/345 practice.

There are plenty of really good options for highest level swimmers, I agree with those who say pick neighborhood/school first, then visit the closest RMSC/NCAP/ASA/MACH/AAC practice sites.
