Try to talk to the clinical manager there who has hands on experience with the residents NOT just the admissions person.
Also I would plan for ALL stages. Had another relative kicked out of a Sunrise because she was too disruptive for the assisted living but too competent for the memory care. I was too focused on activities and moving the relative to a place that was pretty that she would want to move to but I should have been more focused on how the facility deals with aggression, agitation, sun downing, falls, hydration, weight loss, medical appointments, skilled nursing, dental, PT/OT, etc.
