+1 I'm a PP who went to CSU. I would never do this. Tuition might be "low", but col is way too high.

I have family living in Nova who have an asian kid with ADHD & LDs. they sent him to NOVA on the 4 year college track and he's really grown and matured and is on track to finish his degree in 5 years with a solid career plan. These CC programs can be life changing in a good way for kids who want to go to college (cant do trade school) but aren't quite there yet. look also at asian centered programs like AALead and other programs that help asian kids that aren't interesting in servicing the model minority stereotype and need just as much help as any other cash strapped immigrant child. its awesome that you are able to support your son, so many asian parents in your shoes feel helpless and stuck b/c of the inordinate pressure to fit into the mold of wealth and extraordinary achievement and being performing monkeys for the powers that be in the admissions race which is as you know racist.
