I was house hunting in Potomac in 2017 pretty hard. Wooten zoned schools were $150k to 200k cheaper.
Not saying Wooten is bad just homes sell for less.
Wooten is 60 percent minority and 7 percent of school poor enough a free lunch.
Winston Churchill is 55 percent minority and 5 percent free lunch
Walt Whitman is 34 percent minority and hardly any broke kids
The Ws are not all equal

I think houses zoned for Churchill still sell for a little more, but I also agree that Wootton is just as good. It's just a reality of the market.

100% agree with last post.
Wooten HS has the best admissions to elite universities. Better than Churchill, which is better than Whitman. Walter Johnson and BCc even a tier below.

You should dig deeper than US News and World Report. That 60% "minority" is made up mostly of Asians, thus increasing desirability and test scores.

My painters both ht their house in 1978 for $100,000 in Chevy chase. They sold it many years ago for almost $2m. I’d say this was a terrible investment.
