Love bagel uprising. It's not trying to be a NYC bagel, and I appreciate that.

Sorry. You are all incorrect. It is Chewish Deli in Alexandria. I'm from Long Island so I am an expert. You can close the thread now, Jeff.

+100. We used to live around the corner and get these often. We’re now in the burbs and still try to stop by if we’re in the area.

Hands down the best I have found in DC. Really dislike Bethesda and CYM.

Another +1 to Bagels Etc. I used to frequent the Bethesda Bagels in Dupont bur had to fine an other spot when they closed. Can't believe I went so many years not knowing an even better bagel was just a few blocks away.

I bought some of these bagels from the Sunday farmers market in Bethesda and they were super dry and hard to bite into…. So disappointed!

+1 Also, we once ordered a platter from there for lunch and everything was mediocre.

It’s true the ones I’ve bought at farmers’ markets have not been as good. We usually buy at the shop (opposite the zoo.)

Anonymous wrote:Goldberg’s. I like Bullfrog too. Also not a fan of Call Your Mother bagels as bagels per se although I do enjoy their sandwiches loaded with lots of ingredients.

This is the answer.

Meh. They are ok. I do hate the greasy diner smell in there.
