My kid will be in a single bedroom, that’s part of a 4-person suite. Are Ring cams typically allowed in single dorm rooms? He’d only be recording his own space. This would catch anyone trying to take his stuff.

Couldn't someone just pick that up and take the whole thing? [/quote

Any suggestions? I’ve seen ones that you can secure to furniture, but I can’t figure out what would be the best place to do that so it’s accessible but not right out in the open.

Just get a lockable l fire document box or bag. FYI, most students are not locking up medications.

I don't think they're talking about Advil or TheraFlu.

My kid's pediatrician made it pretty clear to them that their ADHD meds should be locked up while at college or in other community living environments—at the very least, anything beyond your daily doses for the week.

You could also make an argument for locking up meds for anxiety or depression, too—or really anything it would be life-threatening to be without a backup stash of.

It's generally best not to stake your health on the honesty or common sense of other people.

Good form of ID if the student is applying for a job.

Exactly. They have to prove citizenship.

Sounds like a bug out bag. I wouldn't want my kid in the same room as someone who is pre-packed to flee the country

Small personal safe will do.
