There are three airlines that do the route nonstop - spirit, frontier and southwest. This is for work, so cost is no issue, and I can upgrade to "business" or whatever big seats they may possible offer. And I don't care about fees either. My biggest concern is just having to spend 5 hours on a terrible, uncomfortable plane where there's no true business class.
My choices are Frontier redeye. Or Spirit or Southwest flight the next day, leaving late afternoon. I have zero desire to spend an extra day in the destination; I just want to get home early. So if the redeye the night before were on any normal airline with business class, I'd do that in a heart beat to just get home a day early.
Does anyone have any insight on whether any of these three airlines have marginally more comfortable flying experiences (assuming you get the largest seats)?
If work is paying, why are these the only choices? Go with Delta, AA, or if you must, United.
No direct flights. I'm not going to add a layover somewhere just to avoid these three airlines! That's totally illogical.

I think in this scenario — wanting to get the f out of town — a connecting flight on a regular airline is the way to go. Because frontier and spirit cancel flights all the time, and you do not want to stay another day. Especially bc price is not concern, fly business on a regular airline so you aren’t stranded for three days in tallahassee when you just want to get home to boise. Sometimes a layover is worth it.

Frontier charges you for everything- checked bag, carry-on bags, seat assignment, beverages, etc.
Spirit duck tapes you to the outside of the plane.
Anonymous wrote:Frontier. I flew RT to Denver no issue! I would not fly SW and I HATE SW. Even if you pay for A1-10 boarding (which I always do), you will have a bunch of disabled and possibly pretending to be disabled people saving entire rows for their families.

Looks like you are leaning towards taking the Southwest flight the next day. A red eye with a connecting flight will get you home far sooner than that. It's you who is being totally illogical. And a bit of a prima donna, if you must know.

Can anyone comment on the "big" seats on these planes?
If getting home sooner is your priority, fry Frontier. They do have “business class”. It’s 5 hours of your life, not 500.
