Do hotels allow minors to stay in a room alone?

We have 4 kids. Two boys and two girls. We either do airbnb with 3 bedrooms, or a resort hotel setup with 3 bedrooms. My kids are too old to all share together, and definitely want our privacy!

Once the older one was 15 we got the two of them an adjoining hotel room or at least right next door to us. This is the esp great in Europe and Asia where hotel rooms in city centers tend to be smaller. It’s great but yes it costs a lot more.

No, and I never would partly due to cost, partly due to safety.

We have 3 kids (same gender) and two general rules: parents get a private sleeping space (either own room or suite with some separation for the sleeping area and each kid gets a bed. Otherwise, I don’t think it’s worth the travel. This usually means we get one room with two queens and a cot or sofa bed and one king room, but sometimes there is a suit option that works better.

Well we do the excursions and the two rooms at the Four Seasons or equivalent, so no complaining here my dear.

Why the nasty attitude? Many people have to prioritize their dollars. Sneering at those with less than you or who choose to make different choices is not a good look.

It really is beautiful here in Paris. The tire fires light up the sunset, and the smoke makes a romantic haze.

Not as a rule, but they get a bed. I won't make them share a pull out couch.

So far, we have always done shared rooms, suites, or airbnbs.
