Crime is too high everwhere, we need to crack down on these people and their communities

I like my eargo hearing aids. I bought them on line. They give discounts for veterans. The hearing test is from your cell phone. They are reasonably priced.
Ideally you could talk to step Dad and see if you could buy a pair to bring with you on visit and set up.

Beach areas are notorious for drifters,transients and crime.

I'm 62. One couple I know moved to Ecuador to retire. Another couple in their late 60's are moving to Australia. Many couples in their 60's relocate.

Is the 55+ where they are moving a continuing care community where they can remain in place no matter how much care they eventually need?
If my parents wanted to move into one of those, it could be on the Moon for all I care. I would be so happy.

Sounds like they’re tired of their kids’ meddling and tired of California. My mom was like that too before she relocated to Vegas.

Agree with this.

Seems they likely will be selling home, as retirees can they qualify for another mortgage? So just avoiding saying so. I think they have their plan and don't want to hear it from adult kids so just say what they think you all want to hear.

I'd try to find out if there is a 3rd party influence of some sort.

Is she safe to travel east independently for you to assess? Might it not be better for you or one of your siblings to go to her and take her to her doctor?

Vegas in winter can be brutal. It’s windy all.the.time. And, it is not that warm.

Vegas will be a crisp very soon. Not a good investment at all if you like access to water.

Late 60's is not old.
