It’s weird. I’ve maybe once or twice had people tell me about those details at work (I’m a 40yo woman) but it was in the context of asking for my advice as a friend. If they regularly brought these things up as routine chitchat I’d be annoyed that they were wasting my time (I don’t want to hear if your period was heavy) and try to distance myself from them.

If you did this, you’d be labeled sexist.

Disagree. Record their comments, file a lawsuit for harassment, and get millions.

For talking about medical issues at work? Oh I see- it's because it's lady parts. Therefore it has to be sexual. Because women are just sex objects.

DP. No it's not that. It's just that nobody wants to hear about your yeast infections or genital warts (a woman in my office).

Of course not, but this PP is saying it's lawsuit worthy. Do you believe that?

In this day and age, yes.

Of course I don't believe it's lawsuit-worthy. People need to speak up for themselves, though. If they can't do that, they need to get HR to speak up for them.

And to the poster who says we should be free to talk about our lady parts in the office, here's notice that I don't want to hear about whether my male coworkers are circumcised, have warts, or it's kinked, either.

No one wants to hear it. But the assumption is that it's sexual harassment if a woman talks about her period...why?
