Ooh I would be SO annoyed OP.

However you do want to handle things in a civil matter since you do have to live close to these people.

I would tell them in as civil manner as you can that it is a hardship when they put their garbage into your can as it limits the amount of room you will have for your own.

Hopefully they will understand & refrain from doing this anymore.

If they deny it or continue to do so then I would have no choice but to install cameras in the front of your home to discourage future dumpings.

Though am not sure if they can be reported for what they did.
(I live in a condo complex w/a community dumpster.)

Good luck! šŸ‘šŸ½

How much trash do you make that you need more than once a week? We’re a family of four and could get by with once a month.

Nope. Police is one thing. People pay for garbage capacity. It’s not ā€fair gameā€ā€˜when it’s moved to the curb.

There is nothing wrong with white women sticking up for themselves and not getting trampled by others OP.

I would not because people shoot people in this here country for doing such things.

Dear Lord, tell me you aren't a pedant like this in real life. If this happened to you, you wouldn't be happy either. Surely you wouldn't just sit there doing nothing? Concrete and pipes are not acceptable trash where we live. Next week the trash guys aren't going to accept it, and whoever owns the can is stuck with it. So best to approach the neighbors now, moron.

Or switch cans with them.

It was probably the workers and they probably figured the trash guys hadn't come by yet

Is it possible that one of the people helping your neighbors mistook your trash can for theirs? Maybe they didn’t realize. That might be the best way to approach the neighbors- it looks like someone was mixed up about which trash can goes with which house.

I’d go across the street, with a trash item or 2 in hand (if possible) and ask. ā€did your construction workers put this in my trash? it looks like construction materialā€

Even though they (apparently) have no help, hopefully they blame the ā€œworkersā€ to save face, apologize & rectify the situation….this gives them an easy out without admitting they did it. Also: Possibly their teenagers did this, and the parents did not know.

If you know who did it I would just dump the trash in their front yard and leave it there. That’s pretty nervy to put pipes and concrete unbagged in someone else’s trash.

So, you think OP is just making up a random story about the contents of her trashcan? Or she filled it with pipes and concrete herself to then start up an argument with her neighbors over it? Bizarre.

It's still not OP's trash and likely the neighbor's. Logic isn't your strong suit, pp.
