My daughter isn’t old enough to have this chat but I am sure there is the same peer pressure to do a certain way within their peer groups.

I think less hairy women don’t really understand what a full bush means to thick, dark haired woman. Your partner will need a machete to get down town.

OP again: wow. I wasn’t expecting this kind of engagement.

All of you, thank you for making this 40 year old feel part of the club! Haha

Mid 50's - tight trim, got the bikini line lasered years ago. I don't understand all of this silly talk about how unsanitary it is to have pubic hair. Such a strange notion. So before 1990's everyone was filthy and unsanitary? Post 1990 everyone is clean and sanitary? Come on.

Nah.

53 and I’ve shaved the sides off for decades just in the shower with a razor and shave cream. Gradually started going in more and more so now I have a rectangle. Don’t have much hair so no issues w/ regrowth or bumps.

Also cut any longer hairs w/ scissors.

I trim what is left and once in a blue moon will wax if I want to be super smooth. I’m probably going to buy another laser package so that I’m completely hair less I’m middle eastern and not only do we tend to have a lot of hair - hence the many laser sessions - but we are also anti body hair probably because of the heat. Imagine being in a country where the heat is 100 F + in the summer with a bush lol.

Don’t a lot of men in the Middle East keep beards?

I guess the same applies for guys with beards? You’re a quack for making such a statement.

I see you did groom today but forgot to take your meds. Not a good look.

You are displaying your own insecurities here. Some of us like real, natural bodies (myself amd my spouse included)

I’m 46 and do what most of the above do (trim every few weeks, shave or wax anything showing if I’m in a swim suit).

When I was 12/1989, I distinctly remember an issue of Teen Magazine in my school library where a question was posed in the advice column from a young teen girl who asked if it was okay that her boyfriend asked her to shave everything off. The magazine responded that her boyfriend might be a pedophile and she should be very careful. Obviously times change, but that context is relevant to insane posts like the PP. Anyone who has as strong and inflexible feelings as the PP either has some serious body shame issues or a controlling SO.
