I don't think there's much that's very inappropriate. However, most of the humor will be lost on an elementary school-aged kid: e.g., how Ken discovers toxic-masculinity in the real world, the concept of mansplaining, how a "liberated" Ken wants Barbie to be his "his long-term long-distance low-commitment casual girlfriend," etc. It's amusing if you can relate to these millennial/gen Z concepts, but boring for a kid. My favorite part of the movie was "weird Barbie" but even that portrayal would probably be lost on a 9yo.

It’s plain trashy.

I didn’t love it. We went to a 830 show and someone brought their 8 year old. She fell asleep almost immediately and they left early. Now that’s bad parenting.

There are no mature scenes, just mature topics that younger girls don’t get yet or too mature. I liked the movie but didn’t love it. I was not really into all the singing. It was cute.

It’s definitely aimed at adult women. I took my boys (11 and 14). We enjoyed bits and pieces of it but it was boring in parts.

I took my 8 year old. She enjoyed it and we're going again next weekend with her cousin. A lot of the jokes went over her head, some she laughed at bc others around her did. She didn't understand the facist joke and her fave part was the bleeping of the f bomb, but that was bc she liked the noise and vaguely understood it was done to cover a bad word. Most of the innuendo stuff went over her head (i.e. beach off).

My 9yo enjoyed it. We took grandma too and she also enjoyed - people across the generations liked it.
