$300/swimmer regular team. There may be a sibling discount but not certain.

I think you’re asking “does swim team use more than their fair share of club resources” and that’s a subjective question depending on who you are and how you use your club.

My question was more if any of your team dues were paid to the pool for any reason such as to pay lifeguards or pool maintenance. Or conversely, I have heard of some pool’s underwriting the team banquet or subsidizing coaching salaries.

Yes, after they pay the coaches and pay for ribbons, printer ink, new stopwatches and team t-shirts, anything that is left of that $25,000 goes straight to the club’s main budget. It’s not like they have separate shelves in the pump room that says “chemicals just for swim team” and “chemicals for the rest of the day.”

What about pasta dinners, spirit stuff for meets, all star swim caps, team breakfasts, etc? We spend a lot more than $25k every year, though we do have 200 swimmers.

Our Pasta Dinner is a potluck, they don't give out spirit stuff except to the team rep's kids and their friends, no all star swim caps or breakfasts. Not sure where all of our money goes as we only have one coach.

Are you saying kids of your team reps get spirit wear for free? How would you even know that? Sounds like you need to volunteer more as you clearly don’t know how these things work…

How much free spirit wear? The A Rep does A LOT!! If their kids want and free shirt, or towel, or pajama pants, it kinda worth it. They put in sooo much work and put up with sooooo much crap for swim parents. If we could keep a rep with some free stuff, we'd do it in a heartbeat!!!!

The rep gets free pool membership and does not pay for team. They get plenty. They refuse help.

+1000. Our team is extremely fortunate: our A rep is literally the heart of our team. Longstanding, highly respected, and much beloved by everyone. Also I have no idea how said rep also sustains an actual salaried job that continues throughout swim season! Any gratitude we can provide is totally insufficient.

No pool membership (open to only those in the neighborhood/HOA)

One kid is $120 and then there are discounts for additional kids. I pay about $180 for 2 kids.

We only have about 65 swimmers.

End of year party is free to families.
Swimmers get an end of year gift (water bottle/beach towel/etc)

No free caps/spiritwear/etc

Our team is a little different.

There’s a flat fee of $120 per family plus $90 per swimmer.

If you have one kid it’s a total of $210, but 2 kids would be $300 total which is supper cheap for an activity that feels like camp with tons of social activities, weekly meets and daily practices. (The large families also benefit regarding jobs too since each family has to sign up for 6 jobs regardless whether you have one kid or ten kids on the team.)

However, you have to be a member of the pool to join the team. That costs $700 for a family which is definitely not cheap.
