Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers (fun, light read)
Cloud Cuckoo Land
Remarkably Bright Creatures
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi (nothing like, but similar in feel to The Great Believers)
Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid
After Abel and Other Stories by Michal Lemberger

NP and I agree! I enjoyed a lot of the booked OP mentioned and this seems like a good fit.

Anonymous wrote:Not OP but bumping this thread since I felt like many posters (myself included) had similar taste and I am looking for some Fall books! I have been in a reading rut since the Summer. I have already read, and adored, Tom Lake from Ann Patchett.

Have you read Nothing To See Here?
How about Emily St John Mandel's more recent book Sea of Tranquility? I liked it even more than I liked the book Station Eleven (I, a heathen, preferred the TV show).
Gonna throw out another oldie - have you read Convenience Store Woman?
If you do Audible, OP, I'd recommend listening to this one. Marin Ireland narrates it and she's one of my favorite narrators.
