Pick a very cheap family-friendly Vegas hotel that is doing everything in it's power to cut corners, and shove it off into the ocean where no one can get off for days ... and that's it ... you get the gist. The food was absolutely terrible. You can't expect it to be really good or anything on a cruise given how many people they have to feed, but I'm talking truly awful.
I will likely not cruise again, but if I do it will be with one of the really high-end luxury lines to try to avoid what we experienced on RC.
Those short term Bermuda cruises are the worst. They are the dumpiest ships and they are filled with people that just want to drink and gamble. I posted above that if you ca. only do 3 or 4 days, it’s worth paying for diisney to avoid the drunk gamblers. It’s less about the cruise line and more about the ship and itinerary.
It was sooooooo bad. Worst vacation I've ever had.
That is because you took the ship that left from Baltimore. You needed to drive up to NYC and take the ship from the terminal there, Liberty I think. The ship was freshly rebuilt, had ice skating shows each night with themes and lessons. We loved that so much! The food was great and they even had a food-allergy section for me. The staff was nice, the ship was immaculate. No smokers were seen unless in the casino after midnight which we only ventured to once. There were lots of activities, plenty of entertainment for my teen and little one. Now, we skipped all the Bermuda excursions, met a local and he got us in touch with a guy who showed us the island and some amazing hidden beaches and Instagram worthy spots. We had the time of our lives and everything went off without a hitch. But, a few people I know went on the Baltimore cruise to Bermuda and it was HORRIBLE! Read the reviews before you book.
