I like culture art/museums/theater/historical sites/music; great food; hiking/walking; nature and natural beauty.
I’d spend up to $6K.
I have up to 2 weeks between now and August 26. Can break it into parts if I want.
Places I haven’t been that are on my list: Poland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Scotland/Hebrides, Croatia, Greece, Capri/Amalfi Coast, Cinqueterre, Sicily/Pompei, Portugal, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Cuba, New Zealand, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador/Machu Picu, Japan, India. Also, in the US: Glacier/Montana, Yellowstone, Crater Lake, Yosemite, New Mexico/Santa Fe/Taos; Sedona; Upper peninsula in Michigan.
Places I don’t especially want to go: Southeast Asia, Australia, Antarctica, most of South and Central America.
Why don’t you keep this simple and pick something from your list? Price a few options out on Google flights and hotels, then pick the best option. Best to book airfare asap.
From your list, I would do these:
-Poland, Norway, Denmark

Adding link to video of a photographer who just went. Gives you a good sense of how long the hike is and how quickly things change: https://youtu.be/y0TThzReYb8. Some of these crazy people are WAY too close for my comfort, but Iceland moves pretty quickly to set up safe viewing areas and parking lots. This was the early crowd of risk takers.Anonymous wrote:Iceland. It just erupted this week. I would do Ireland or Iceland in August.
