I am guessing there are more NYU people simply bc it's easier to get in. Less Columbia grads.

Is engineering pre-professional?

I would like to know this question as well. Is the engineering program at Columbia pre-professional?

I am inclined to think it is. However, it's done in a liberal arts context. It's more liberal arts than Caltech, MIT. However, less than Columbia College (CC) simply because the engineering distribution requirements is very extensive. Columbia SEAS has less core requirements than CC.

Here is another example where per capita data is semi-worthless. Michigan is #4 on this list but virtually all of its students chosen come from the Ross School of Business. Ross has 1400 undergraduates. Michigan, as a whole has over 32K.

Need to look further down, adjusted for number of student, Columbia is #3 behind UPenn Wharton and Harvard. NYU is #21.

OP was asking about STERN, and you answer with NYU numbers as a whole. Typical Columbia PR move.

Location, location, location.

It didn't. Fake news.

Not to insult your kid or anything but this is the last place I would look if I actually wanted a reasonable answer to this question.

Your a$$?

You are such a rude barbarian. Hope you have no association with NYU.

No one hates Columbia, PP. It’s not a bad college. The reality is that Stern is better when it comes to outcomes.

Are you NYU folks regret not taking the GS route?

For finance and consulting recruiting, NYU wins. Columbia has that air of "the bottom Ivy." which never helps in recruiting. Career services are better at Stern too.
