No. Not even close. rising 7th grader - i am only 5'2" and i still have several inches on him. DH and I are both short, and he's always been 10th %ile for height. He'll be a shrimp.

Like me, his feet are huge and they grew first - he's a mens 11/11.5 already). He has a lot of growing to do yet and I know he would be thrilled to surpass me this summer. He hasn't enjoyed being one of the shortest in his class because he hit puberty later.

My sons didn’t grow a lot until start of 10th grade either. Oldest ended up surpassing friends who were much taller than him in middle school. Rising 10th grader isn’t fully through puberty (baby face) and just hit 5’7”

Yikes, people here tend tall. We are Central American. I am 5'2", DH is 5'7". DS is taller than me but slightly shorter than DH, at age 14.

Genes are fascinating! I posted about DH being shortest male at 6 feet. His brother is 6’5 and Dad 6’4.

My own parents were 5’4” mom and 5’9” dad and I have a brother who is 6’2”

My brother has sons who are 6’6” and 6’8”

Yes, but I’m short. DS reached full height of 6 feet in 8th grade. DH is also 6’ and the shortest male in his family!

I’m still much taller than my rising 7th grader. My rising 9th grader passed me just after his 13th birthday and should pass his bad by 14.

I’m 5’9

PP here again. Just want to add that people expect DS to be mature, like he’s a 16-17yo but maturity-wise he’s very much a 13yo. Sometimes seems it’d be better to be tall later in the teen years (not that we have any control over this)

I'm 5'6", DH 5'10". At his 8th grade promotion DS was just a bit above my shoulder. Didn't hit his growth spurt until junior year. Now at 20 he's 6'2". No idea where the height came from. He's taller than every other man in the family.

Rising 7th grader. I’m 5’7”, DH is 5’11”. I’d guess DS as not far off from 5’3” right now.
