Women have been having more and more geriatric pregnancies in the last few decades.

At the same time, there is an exponential rise in children diagnosed with ASD and also an exponential rise in mental illness in children. Both of these things are linked to older eggs and older sperm. We don’t know yet if it is just the older eggs or also the older body in which the fetus gestated - obviously we must assume that many of these extreme older mothers used someone else’s younger eggs to make their fetuses.

It seems to me the better course would be to alter our society so women can carry and birth babies in their late teens to early 30s when fertility and health is at peak, but still have all opportunities to pursue education and career. I recognize this is a much more radical ask than the current path of providing technology that allows extreme geriatric pregnancies for the few who can afford it.

Do you really think that? How do you know that? You have no idea who she is as a person. You could be right or you could be wrong, but to assume that, for some reason at 50 and 52, she would have kids for others (nanny)’s to raise is very negative.
