No where near the amount the non-troll/joke posters have listed in this thread.

50 and 47. About $1.5M in retirement savings. House worth about $1.4M, half of which we owe on a mortgage. DH will receive a small Fed pension - about $30K/year. No kids. No inheritance coming our way - we help out our parents financially. I make pretty good money and DH makes fair money but both of us got a late start in saving because of grad schools, paying off student loans and helping out family.

About 650k and I'm 54 years old. Will have my house paid for by the time I retire.

I know I'm poor by DCUM standards but I'll be fine.

What is stopping you from retiring now? This looks like enough for one person in a couple who has kids' college covered and their partner has about the same $$. I guess you could use a bit more in nonretirement funds to bridge the gap until you're 59 and can access retirement funds without penalties, but who do you think you need to work until you're 62?

I need the kids to at least finish college then I will reconsider. I think I don't have enough to bridge the gap until 59.

Are you serious? Or is this a joke?

Clearly someone is poking fun at the ninny who posted this and the ninnies replying to it.
