I won't know in advance the strength of the wifi connection and I suspect that could be an issue. I'm disappointed to hear that there is no flexibility in the scheduling, but let me know if your situation changes and you are able to offer an interview when I return after X date.

Anonymous wrote:My initial thought was that I'd do it, especially since your vacation is 10 days and that's a long time to ask someone to wait. Also, if it's a panel interview, it can be difficult to get everyone together at the same time.
BUT, being asked to do work in preparation for the interview would be a deal breaker. I don't work for free, especially on vacation.

+1 me too. I would pass
I take it back. You’re in the second round, they are may be trying to move quickly before the end of their fiscal year.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:My initial thought was that I'd do it, especially since your vacation is 10 days and that's a long time to ask someone to wait. This. They are either trying to fill a slate or looking for intel, either way a huge waste of your time.

There is also a package of work I have to complete over the weekend and present during the first portion of the interview. Feels a little red flaggy to me, and definitely not the way I want to start off my vacation with my family.
This is a huge red flag. No. You have no say at all in when the interview is?? Either they have a bad culture or they are not that interested. Can you imagine what they will be like once you are there?
If they had said "would really like it to be that week, which days are best?" Or "would Wedn/Thurs be ok" etc, that would be a lot more reasonable.
