At first, I thought we just had different taste bc the only name I like from your list is Molly. I actually love Molly and have no issue with the “it’s a nickname” idea, I am a person who feels strongly about nn names bc I hate my full name and have used my nn my whole life, wish it was just my name.
But then Megan is another of my favorites. I also love Morgan. I have a Reagan (rhymes with Megan) and wish I had used one of these two instead. I am a big fan of the Megan spelling and common pronunciation.
I like Brooke fine. Love Brynn if that falls in line for you.

Also open to suggestions. Only parameters are: no names that start with a vowel, the first initial "M" would be nice but we aren't restricting ourselves to that. Also open to middle name suggestions because we have absolutely no idea!
From those names, I like Molly & Miranda.

My favorites from your list are Daphne and Miranda. One consideration is how the first name sounds with the last name. I read somewhere that when the first and last name have at least one repeating sound that the full names rates more favorably on novel audiences (future employers, teachers, etc.).

Miranda is fine without a nickname and you can use Mira as the nickname if you need to her ahead of one.
I prefer Ginevra or Geneva if you want the nickname Ginny.
Molly is a nickname, I can’t get past that, but I love the name!!!

I’d like to rule out Calliope - it was the name of the character in Middlesex - whose childhood was completely messed up.
Callie is a cute nickname though. Can we put more names on the list for consideration? Calista? What about Calla? Melinda? Pamela? Tamara? Trying to stay in the ballpark here.

Brooke is pretty; so is Megan. Megan. DO NOT go with Meagan. Meghan is better than Meagan but worse than Megan.
I don’t love Brooke. I think Meghan is the most intuitive spelling for me, then Megan. Meagan looks unexpected to me.

Megan is just a bit dated and sounds like a mom name now. It’s nice but it really got overused in the mid 80s. There’s 4 just in my book group of early 30s women.

I love Maxine and think it’s due for a comeback. It was the character on stranger things. Max is always a cute nickname too.

I think you’d have to be fine w any nicknames/full names because there will always be someone who will try to use the nickname or full name even if that’s not your preference (like I had a friend Elizabeth who went by Liza but throughout school lots of teachers and coaches and even some kids would call her Elizabeth which annoyed her. And I have another friend Samantha who goes by just Samantha but people are always calling her Sam/Sammy which she hates)
But every name has its issues and people will inevitably mess your name up at some point no matter what.
That said, I don’t think most people would nickname Miranda Randy. I think Mira would be a more common/natural nickname for Miranda.
