I talked to the principal today and told her why they are calling graduation and not pronation she said FCPS policy. I’m heart broken. FCPS is going down hill fast.

It is a promotion. How far back do you want to go? They have been having promotion ceremonies for at least 20 years. Most of the students have been at the school more than half their lives. It gives them closure and a nice send off.

Agree.

Part of it is that it's a bigger deal hoping from 6th to 7th grade (ES to MS) verse MS t o HS.

Plus you're not a little kid anymore when going from MS to HS so no need for a class party or pomp.

And if you're at Ribinson or LBSS you're at the same school anyway switching 8th to freshman so it's very anticlimactic.
